Our candles are handcrafted by a small British company who have been using traditional techniques for over 30 years. They have a subtle honey scent and soft natural hue and burn with barely any smoke or drips. The luxury matches are made in the U.K. and the boxes are printed using a traditional letterpress machine. The candle holder is also hand turned on a lathe in the U.K. The grain varies from piece to piece as each one is unique.

These candles are created using the time-honored technique of dipping. During this process each pair is dipped at intervals into heated wax until the desired shape is reached, resulting in a superior quality candle.
The company who produce our hand-dipped candles have done so for over 30 years, using traditional techniques. Their small workshop is situated in the beautiful Pennines, United Kingdom; an area of outstanding natural beauty.
They source the finest pure beeswax from local suppliers, which is renowned for it's honey scent. Their candles burn cleanly with barely any smoke or drips.
Archivist was founded in 1994 and continues to this day as one of the finest letterpress studios. Letterpress printing is a traditional technique of applying ink to an image and then 'stamping' it onto paper or card. The process has changed little since the Gutenberg bible was published circa 1455.
Our wooden candle holders are hand turned on a lathe in Surrey in Yorkshire. Beautifully tactile, each piece celebrates the unique character of the wood grain and colour.
