A magical few days spent exploring the Devon coastline and revisiting favourite beaches.

For the latest in our Travel Notes series, we visit the Bristol University Botanic Gardens.

Bristol University Botanic Garden was founded in the 1950's and is home to almost 5000 rare and exotic plants.

As always we are drawn to the glasshouses. A wave of heat hits us as we slide open the door and enter the first house, where we discover strange, spiky and other-worldly cacti and succulents. 

We first visited the Leach Pottery last Summer. Shortly after, we asked them to make us a collection of standard ware.

We are thrilled to add their beautiful hand thrown mugs, pourers and egg cups to our store. We love the depth of colour and the tactile marks resulting from the maker's touch; signs only present on a truly hand crafted item.

For the second in our Travel Notes series, we discover the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens, a verdant oasis in the heart of the city.

We are drawn to the glasshouses, filled to the rafters with weird and wonderful specimens. Slender pathways stretch the length of the glasshouse and we weave amongst the plants, opening each door off the main corridor in turn.

We love to explore the natural environment around us. The first in a series of Travel Notes takes us to Dancing Ledge, a tidal rock pool on the wild Jurassic coast.
