British-Made Sheepskin & Wool Hot Water Bottles

Enjoy the cosy comfort of the colder months with our British-made hot water bottles, crafted from soft sheepskin and pure wool.

Naturally insulating and breathable, these traditional covers retain warmth for hours while remaining comfortable against the skin — perfect for curling up on winter evenings or adding an extra layer of warmth at bedtime.

Handmade in the UK by Tweedmill & Owen Barry – Heritage British Craftsmanship

Our hot water bottles are proudly made in the UK by two trusted heritage brands.

The wool covers are woven in Wales by Tweedmill, specialists in British textiles known for quality and tradition. The sheepskin styles are handmade by Owen Barry in Somerset, a fifth-generation family-run workshop crafting premium sheepskin products since 1948.

Each hot water bottle cover is a celebration of natural materials, slow fashion values, and British craftsmanship—designed to bring comfort that lasts.

Luxury Sheepskin Hot Water Bottles

Soft, naturally insulating sheepskin makes these hot water bottles a cosy, luxurious way to stay warm. Each piece is carefully crafted to retain heat while remaining breathable and comfortable against the skin, making it perfect for winter evenings or thoughtful gifts.

Why Choose Natural Wool & Sheepskin?

Wool and sheepskin are naturally insulating, breathable, and exceptionally soft. They retain heat efficiently while allowing airflow, helping regulate temperature without overheating.

In contrast, synthetic covers like fleece or acrylic often trap heat and moisture, which can feel uncomfortable. They also tend to be less durable, provide poorer temperature regulation, and have a higher environmental impact due to their non-biodegradable materials and production methods.

Sheepskin is a natural by-product of the food industry and, when responsibly sourced, offers a durable and biodegradable alternative — bringing warmth, comfort, and lasting quality to everyday use.

How to Care for Your Sheepskin or Wool Hot Water Bottle Cover

Sheepskin and wool are naturally durable materials that can last for many years with gentle care. Avoid dry cleaning, as this can strip the natural oils from the fibres. Instead, brush or lightly vacuum regularly and spot clean with a mild, colour-free soap solution.

Allow to air dry naturally, and avoid combing curly sheepskin to preserve its natural texture. Wool covers can also be gently aired or brushed to keep the fibres fresh between uses.
